To support local students in the community, Solstice Senior Living at Las Cruces hosted a back-to-school supply drive on August 12. For each donation of $15, we gave out a raffle ticket for a Google Chromebook prize!

Local computer teacher, Laura Martinez wanted to help students start the school year successfully by donating supplies. Laura and her husband Gil donated $30 worth of school supplies and decided to give away their raffle ticket one of our kitchen associate’s son, Jacob.

The raffle winner was announced via Facebook Live. One of seven students in the drawing, Jacob won the Chromebook and was able to begin first grade at Conlee Elementary on the right foot! All in all, it was a wonderful event and we were able to distribute school supplies to local students.
