Margaret Kleinmann Receives Dr. Evan Calkin’s Meritorious Service Award

Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst’s executive director, Margaret Kleinmann, was named a 2020 recipient of the Network in Aging Award, earning the Meritorious Service Award.

The Network in Aging of WNY, Inc., was founded in 1981 by a network of people committed to improving the quality of life for older persons in Western New York. Each year, The Network in Aging holds awards to celebrate those in the community doing great work to support the senior community.

The Dr. Evan Calkins Award for Meritorious Service is designated to honor a person who has made a significant contribution to the field of aging in Western New York. Margaret was nominated for her amazing work at the Solstice at East Amherst community.

Margaret has over 40 years of experience working in geriatrics in Western New York. She holds a B.S. degree in gerontology from St. John Fisher College, as well as an M.S. degree in geriatrics at the University at Buffalo. She has significant experience in direct health care delivery, oversight, operational implementation and executive leadership. Margaret brings excitement and creativity to the job, always looking for ways to motivate her team and create a caring environment for residents.

We are so grateful to have Margaret in our Solstice family and for her dedication to the residents and associates at Solstice at East Amherst. Congratulations!
